Public Programmes & Events
“‘If you believe it will work out, you’ll see opportunities. If you believe it won’t, you’ll see obstacles.”
Dr Wayne W Dyer
Throughout the year we run a number of public workshops near Oxford. The topics include:
Coaching & Performance Management.
Do you have staff who are underperforming,
lacking in confidence or disruptive? On this workshop we explore what changes you need to
make in terms of your own behaviour in order to coach and develop your staff.
This workshop is run in conjunction with the Coaching & Mentoring Unit at Oxford
Brookes University. It is for managers who want to go beyond the annual appraisal
to coaching and managing performance on a day to day basis.
Master Your Inner Critic, Release Your Inner Wisdom.
This workshop is based on Melanie Greene’s book drawing on her own and her
clients’ experiences of mastering their inner critics.
It enables you to gain a deeper understanding of the impact
of your inner critic and how to use simple and practical techniques
that can assist you in the process of mastering your inner critic,
which can have a profound affect on your life. You will receive
a copy of the book in the cost of the workshop.
Managing Challenging Interactions.
Do you find certain people challenging to deal with or
perhaps particular situations a challenge to communicate
effectively in? This workshop provides practical and easy
to use models and techniques to assist you in managing your
own reactions to challenging interactions, leading you
to take actions to handle the situations differently
and more effectively.

What is different about our public programmes?
To support participants in putting their learning into practise and to ensure that the workshops meet their needs we use the following processes:
- Pre-work for participants to complete and return before the programme to ensure that the workshop will meet their needs. We can then adapt a workshop in light of their answers.
- On-going discussions during workshop to ensure that participants’ needs are being met. This means we can check if any additional needs and questions have arisen that need to be addressed.
- Post course postcards are sent out four weeks after the workshop. These contain the participants’ action plans (they write them at the end of the workshop). They act as a reminder once they are back in the busynessof the workplace and helps to ensure that they put their learning into practice back at work.
- Coaching emails are included in the cost of the programme to remind participants of their action plans and key points from the workshop and enables them to ask questions if they have any queries and to feedback on their progress.
